NEW AGE PARENTING - what's in it for children?

Image
Before google maps was invented to guide us through our paths so that we don’t take an incorrect route and reach the wrong destination, God created this fool proof guide to lead us through our lives, we call them as “parents”. Parents are like a compass to children’s’ life: whenever we feel lost in this vast world, parents’ guide us to be back on the right track. They form the most concrete foundation for all the “first impressions” in a Child's life. These first impressions during a child’s early life form a strong base or structure for its character and attitude towards life. Therefore it becomes supremely important for all the new age parents to get this point right: human beings possess the great power of bringing another life onto this world, but they should never forget that “with great power comes great responsibility”.                                           Ph...

Is love a rocket science?

Image
Why do most of us struggle, when it comes to love? Is loving someone a difficult task? Does it involve a lot of analysis to love? Do we need any reason to love? Why is it tough to maintain the love we have towards someone forever? Should we love someone only if we are sure of receiving it back from them? Now a days we all effortlessly say we love someone, be it husband, wife, siblings, friends, parents etc. eventually the emotion which we feel for that person diminishes for various reasons like; when the love is not reciprocated, when the quality you like the most in him/her is not seen anymore, when the person you love hurts you, when the person you love doesn’t make you feel important, when the person you love loses his/her beauty and so on. But when we activate all our senses to understand this aspect of “PURE LOVE”, the question that we need to answer ourselves is, does “love” have a basis? Is love a materialistic approach or an idealistic approach? Let us make a...

THE DEAD END

Image
Where is the working world going – Is it hitting a dead end?? Is the basics of humanity vanishing in the employment world with the increasing desire to be on top, the richest and most powerful? – is it even leading us anywhere? Let us make an attempt to analyse the deteriorating work culture which is creating extremely disinterested and demotivated employees in huge numbers. As all of us spend most part of our lives in our work places and also maximum time of our day there, it becomes extremely important to understand and analyse where we are going wrong as most of the working class are being affected with depression, low confidence level, lack of interest to live, fear to acquaint with people, fear to believe friends/colleagues, deteriorating mental and physical health and most importantly they are failing to find meaning in whatever work they do. Now a day’s people are of the opinion that all their hard work and efforts are serving no purpose at all. While conve...

THE 10 YEAR CHALLENGE: HOW HAS THE WORLD CHANGED?

Image
Social media in recent years has become the most influential, impactful and fastest medium of exchanging ideas and sharing content across the world among all age groups. Among various crazy challenges which go viral from time to time, 10 years challenge was one of those which went vigorously viral across the world that even pulled some of the world famous celebrities into it like Ellen Degeneres, Miley cyrus etc to name a few. While this “ 10 years challenge” was buzzing on the internet platform   which mainly involved people posting their photos 10 years back and hence, a simple yet complicated thought struck me as to , if at all world was on social media platform what would it   post for the 10 year challenge? Further, let’s try to sort this thought out by getting into the shoes of the WORLD itself!! Talking about human touch, back then during 2009, birthdays, anniversaries etc would be filled with receiving wishes from loved ones and celebrating with friends an...

EPITOME OF GENEROSITY

Image
“Generous” as the word itself says “the quality of giving anything more than you ask for or the quality of giving anything in plenty”. Now when we add the word “selflessly” to the above meaning, a synonym for the word “generous” can be derived which is “MOTHER”. This is the story of one such selflessly generous mother named “Ahalya”. Ahalya was born in a typical orthodox Iyer family dwelling in the beautiful city of Tanjore, in the state of Tamil Nadu. At a very young age of 4, she lost her mother and was brought up with immense warmth and affection by her grandmother. This made her realise the value of a mother and therefore, at a very young age, she decided to herself that she is going to be the best mother to her children. After finishing her basic schooling, Ahalya got married and moved to Bangalore along with her husband, who was an exceedingly egoistic, narcissistic, unresponsive and irresponsible man which she barely knew before marriage. Initially she was disturbed and s...
