Breath!






In the arena of life, we put in all our might and fight for the fulfillment of our goals & desires with the intention of achieving imperishable happiness. Yet, one can seldom experience the phase in life where all our plans are materialized in our favor. While we come across such undesirable moments, a rudimentary emotion that we humans effortlessly slip into is “dejection or despair”.

But, is our life merely limited to developing desires, feel happy when it’s achieved and slide into depression when it couldn’t be fulfilled? It’s time to enlighten ourselves to realize that the reason for being born as human beings is much more than just conquering our ‘wants’.

The reason to perceive that,” to be born as humans is a blessing”, is because of the fact that we possess this exceptional power, that is “to feel” the entire package of emotions bestowed upon us by the supreme power, that is not possible for any of his other creations. The ultimate intention of the Almighty for creating the human species is to allow them to feel the emotions attached with every other creation of his during the short span of time we spend on earth. But unfortunately we have mistaken the “main mission” to have born as humans is to earning materialistic richness rather than stocking up beautiful feelings which forms the real wealth.

Feeling the emotions is a unique gift which is exclusively awarded to human beings and that’s the ethos of our lives. Feelings act as the core catalyst in upliftment of one’s life as they provide drive to live better. One must never forget that, life is a short trip, where the primary purpose is to sense the innumerable sensations, enjoy some, learn from some and go back to the creator with a feeling of satiation.

The strong conduit between, humans and their feelings is “Breath”. Breath is the validation that we exist which means we still have the ability to exercise the ‘power to feel’ that comforts us with the fact that there is still another chance. Once we stop breathing, we are no longer a part of the universe, thus losing the only opportunity to achieve the “master purpose”.

Now, how can “breath” make a difference in our lives? Each breath confirms your ‘chance’ to switch to a better state of mind that makes it convenient for us to  live well. Sometimes, the circumstances might make us feel, we have reached a dead end and it’s all over. But check yourself, if you’re still breathing, the story isn’t over yet.

Remember:
  • Until you are breathing, you still have the choice to feel hopeful and hold a chance to witness the light at the end of the tunnel.
  • Until you are breathing, you can still love someone and also feel the love showered upon you from your kith & kin, and the feeling is sufficient to bring back your strength. 
  • Until you are breathing, you still are capable of feeling the warmth of the ones who brought a smile on your face and thus revive faith in life. 
  • Until you are breathing, you still are able to feel grateful for infinite comforting moments you’ve experienced so far which is enough to return to the state of bliss. 
  • Until you are breathing, you have all the opportunity to realise your mistakes, learn from them and feel confident about yourself and life. 
  • Until you are breathing, you still can feel the warm touch of your close ones that can instantly give you solace. 
  • Until you are breathing, you can still make a choice to feel happy all over again. 

“Breath” thus offers us boundless freedom to change the air around us instantly for good. We belong to the clan of mortals. As the famous proverb says “Make hay while the sun shines”, while your breath is still supporting you, pull yourself together, switch from the state of dismay to a state of hope and start afresh, because “until you’re breathing, you are still in form”

A simple thought to live well

When life becomes awfully chaotic, before sinking into sorrowful state, stop for a second, feel your breath and yes! You are free again to sense the tranquility from within, revive the drive to live better and start all over again.

  2. It is a fantastic presentation of never give up-only live up. Depression can be fought in many meaningful ways. Breath is the first step towards feeling the self. Every breath reminds about our efforts, success, failure, learning, analysis, decision, and state of mind, confidence and what not. But we should be able to smell and feel our own breath in all calmness.
    Good effort indeed.
